Details

Third generation cephalosporin active against pseudomonas aeruginosa infections.
First line treatment for the rare tropical infection melioidosis.
Effective empirical treatment of patients with serious nosocomial infections, with least chances of nephrotoxicity.
Better treatment option than ceftriaxone / tobramycin combination in treating nosocomial infections.
